The
Electrical Engineering
Department
Our department was established in the 1972, and the dual-class system was introduced in the 1981. In the 1991, we established the Master’s Program, with a research focus on power energy, intelligent control, communication, and electronic circuits. In 1999, the Doctoral Program and Master’s In-Service Continuing Education Program were established with the aim of cultivating more advanced scientific research talent in the field of electrical engineering.

In addition to the following core courses, offer cutting-edge courses according to technological advancements.
In addition to the basic experiments in physics and computer science, the department also offers several required and elective professional laboratory courses to enhance students’ practical skills: Electric Power Laboratory, Experiments in Control, Experiments in communications, Mirco-computer Laboratory, Analog Circuits Laboratory, Electronic Laboratory, Circuit Laboratory.
We collaborate with United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) and ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd (ASE) to offer courses on Semiconductor Manufacturing Process and Integrated Circuit Packaging and Testing to enhance the integration of theory and practical experience for students.
Future Career Prospects
Advanced Studies: Our department has established exchange programs with prestigious universities both domestically and internationally in the field of electrical engineering. Students who complete these programs are eligible to receive dual master’s degrees in electrical engineering. We also have exchange opportunities with many renowned international sister schools.
Employment: Domestic and international electrical, electronic, and information-related companies offer salaries to our departmental alumni that are comparable to the top national universities. Private schools rank highest in the preference of companies.
We collaborate with United Microelectronics Corporation, ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd, and EPSON to offer career development programs, company visits, and internships. Students can choose to participate voluntarily, and upon selection, they can decide whether to join the company for employment.
International perspective Over the years
Many of our students have participated in the Two-Year Master’s Program, Exchange Student Program to study for a master’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the United States and have already obtained their degrees, and starting from the 2015 academic year, we have established an International Master’s Program to enroll foreign graduate students.
